Here are a few simple techniques you can use whenever you feel off balance:Diaphragmatic Breathing: Place one hand on your belly and breathe deeply, allowing your belly to expand. This signals safety to your nervous system. 4-7-8 Breathing: Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 7, and exhale for 8. This helps slow your heart rate and reduce anxiety. Grounding Exercise (5-4-3-2-1): Identify 5 things you see, 4 things you touch, 3 things you hear, 2 things you smell, and 1 thing you taste. This anchors you in the present moment. Cold Water Splash: Splash cold water on your face to quickly calm anxiety and stimulate your vagus nerve. Butterfly Hug: Cross your arms over your chest and gently tap your shoulders alternately to create a sense of safety and regulation. Progressive Muscle Relaxation: Tense and release each muscle group from your feet to your head to let go of stored tension. We’re just as committed to our growth as we encourage our clients to be, and finding the right coach can be as much of a journey for us as it is for anyone else.Recently, as I began searching for a new coach to support me in this next chapter of my life, I realized how tricky it can be to find the perfect fit.
